Ramkund is the holiest bathing ghat along the Godavari riverbed in Panchavati, Nashik. In Hindu tradition, it is believed that during their 14-year exile, Lord Shri Rama, Mata Sita, and Lakshmana stayed in Panchavati and performed daily ablutions in these sanctified waters.

During Simhastha, Ramkund serves as the primary holy venue for the Vaishnava Akhadas (Digambar, Nirmohi, and Nirvani Anis). Lakhs of saints, sadhus, and devotees assemble before dawn to offer prayers to Surya Deva and the sacred Mother Godavari.
