Spiritual Guardians of Dharma

Centuries of Spiritual Discipline & Tapasya

Akhadas are traditional monastic organizations established by Adi Shankaracharya and subsequent spiritual masters to preserve Vedic wisdom, practice ascetic discipline, and safeguard the spiritual sovereignty of Sanatana Dharma.

During the Nashik–Trimbakeshwar Simhastha Kumbh Mela, the 7 Shaiva Akhadas camp in the sacred foothills of Trimbakeshwar taking holy snan at Kushavarta Kund, while the Vaishnava Ani Akhadas & Udasin orders establish their grand Sadhugram camps in Nashik (Tapovan) taking the royal bath at Ramkund.
